Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) – Popular snack brand Moonpie says, “We can do this now!”
After President Donald Trump issued an executive order to rename the Gulf of Mexico the US Gulf, the brand jokingly changed its name to “Moonpattown.” Moonpie said the change was “effective immediately.”
The National Hurricane Center will “change into the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf of America.”
“Thanks to recent geographical updates, we are excited to announce that Mass on the land, previously known as Florida, will be called Moonpattown,” the brand was posted on X. It was now Moon Pie Town.
Moon Pie is a snack made up of two graham crackers filled with marshmallows and covered in chocolate.
“Continue to enjoy our delicious marshmallow sandwiches and don’t think too much about it,” the post said.
