The new report entitled “How Medicine Schools Enforce DEI Orthodox on Future Physicians,” says top medical schools in the country are putting pressure on students to fit into the left-wing ideological framework under the banner of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
“Medical schools must return to their mission centered around training skilled, knowledgeable, ethical physicians rather than ideological activists.
The speech, which began in 2018, first consisted of an association of students, parents and teacher alumni.
The group states that commitment to DEI has become a standard feature in medical schools across the country, covering three requirements.
<
1. Delegation of Racial Justice: Students should follow DEI guidelines and requirements, microattack training, and adopt a worldview that frames white people as essentially racist and physicians as agents of social reform. While tasked with dealing with historical injustice against minorities.
2. Gender Ideology Power of Attorney: Medical schools across the country are incorporating gender ideology into courses, scribes, and policies, requiring students to affirm their patients’ gender identity. This includes supporting selected pronouns, social or medical transitions, and also recognizing gender identity around biological sex for children.
3. Weight Inclusive Power of Attorney: Under the social justice framework, students are trained to approach obesity through sensitivity guidelines that deny the link between weight and health. Physicians are pressured to prioritize obese patients’ experiences rather than addressing underlying health concerns.
“While several states are taking steps to remove DEIs from education, the report highlights the deep movement of the issue and requires a coordinated effort to truly eradicate it from higher education. Discrimination is always wrong based on race and gender, and finding it is extremely widely used in the healthcare field is particularly appalling. Nicole Neely, who plays the executive director of Speech First.
