Animatronic version of Walt Disney will be incorporated into the Carousel of Progress attraction at the Magic Kingdom theme park.
The Tron Lightcycle/Run Ride overlay was also revealed at the event.
This figure is placed in a new scene that precedes the traditional through-desodic spinning tale of the American family.
Carousel of Progress was one of the Disney ideas included at the 1964 New York World Fair. The event was also a development of animatronics with Disney’s “Amazing Moments with Mr. Lincoln” show.
The addition of Magic Kingdom follows the introduction of Walt Disney Animatronics at Disneyland. This number can be seen in Walt Disney – Magical Life, which debuted in July.

After the World Fair, Carousel of Progress was run until 1973. It was introduced in 1973 at Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland and has experienced decades of updates and seasonal closures. After the 1994 renovation, the name was tweaked to become a carousel of Walt Disney’s advancement.

With two different theme songs in pop culture, “There’s a wonderful, beautiful tomorrow” and “The Best Time of Your Life” are both written by the Sherman Brothers.
No timeline for the addition of animatronics was announced.
Opened in 2023, Tron Ride’s overlay begins on September 15th, debuts on October 10th, and is tied to the “Tron: Ares” film starring Gillian Anderson, Jeff Bridges and Jared Leto. Among the limited time changes will be added red colours and music by 9-inch nails. This group is part of the film’s soundtrack. The overlay will be added at Shaghai Disneyland in September.
