For fans of the Lord of the Rings movies, it can be hard to believe that 25 years have passed since the four hobbits left the Shire to embark on an unforgettable adventure.
The cast members who played Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin are currently reuniting for an 11-city tour across North America, including a stop at MegaCon Orlando on March 21, 2026. The Hobbit Evening: 25th Anniversary brings together Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan and Elijah Wood, and the show promises to be more than a reunion and “more than a panel discussion.” A “once in a quarter century” celebration tour.
Tickets for the event will go on sale at 10 a.m. on October 22nd, and there will also be VIP experiences such as photo ops and autograph sessions. Attendees must also have a MegaCon Orlando admission pass for the event, which will take place March 19-22, 2026.
Fans attending the special evening event can expect to see the Hobbits host a “variety show and storytelling session” with behind-the-scenes memories, fun antics, movie reviews, inside jokes, surprise moments, and more. The cast members shed light on their friendship, which still stands the test of time, 25 years after their first friendship began.
“FAN EXPO is all about creating unforgettable experiences, and ‘A Night with the Hobbit’ is just that,” MegaCon event producer Andrew Moyes, vice president of Fan Expo HQ, said in a news release. “Every time we welcome these gentlemen individually, our fans are overjoyed. But when they come together, their energy is electric. Their characters are beloved, their friendship is indelible, and the joy they bring to audiences is unparalleled. We can’t wait to host this special anniversary in 2026.”

Wood, who played Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings films, is using this moment to reflect on his career and the passage of time.
“Celebrating this quarter-century milestone feels abstract, yet it feels like the movie really exists,” Wood said in a news release. “The fact that we’re spending time like this (going to conventions with fans and doing shows like this) is so new to us. It’s such a big, ongoing part of our lives.”
The Hobbits will also be reunited at Comic-Cons in New Orleans, Portland, Vancouver, Calgary, Denver, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Toronto and Dallas throughout the next year.
Tickets for the event are $139 for a first-priority gold ticket, $59 for a second-priority silver ticket, and $20 for third-priority general admission. A $799 backstage pass guarantees you a gold ticket, a photo with all four hobbits, and an autograph from all four hobbits. Autographs can be purchased for $80 to $100 each, or all four for $329. Photo shoots are available for $80 to $100 per photo, and team-up photos with multiple hobbits are available for $150 to $299.
