National Wine & Cheese Day will be celebrated on July 25th. This is a holiday honoring the timelessness of this pairing that combines salt, fat and acidity, tannins and many other factors that create something close to perfection in the palate.

And the recent collaboration between two local businesses – a good pour, first-ever wine and spirits shop, is a Ground Zero, for your own celebration, whether it’s on the forefront of your business, and whether it’s on its holidays or future.

Located inside the Good Pour’s College Park Location, Simply Cheese’s 200-square-foot counter offers expert pairing recommendations for all bottles in stock (not to mention free samples).

Ann Thornton, co-owner/founder of Simply Cheese, said: “It’s a natural fit in every way and I can’t wait to share the cheap goodness with this vibrant, welcoming community.”

It was a simple collaboration, said Guiliana Horal of Good Pour Cofounder.

All purchases at The Good Pour (Wine, Spirits, Barware, Live Plants, Other Gifts) allow customers to donate a portion of all sales to nonprofit organizations whose company is a partner. At checkout, it’s an easy and easy-to-do moment due to the cause they chose.

“We are always looking for ways to take our in-store experience to the next level,” she explained. “In the world of digital forwards, we found that people still long for connections and valuable craftsmanship. Simply, cheese is tailored to our mission, passions and people’s first approach.

Moving forward, she speculates, welcomes an event where the two businesses will grow and showcase their compatible, strong suits. Suitable case: Class pairings to be released at the end of the month. This includes two exciting products featuring a series of professional pairs of wines and cheeses at a guided tasting of $45 per person.
