Level 99, an interactive gaming venue, has moved to Disney Springs. It will slide into the former NBA Experience Space in the West Side section of the Walt Disney World Entertainment Complex, all officials confirmed Wednesday.
Level 99 has over 50 physical and mental challenges set in an artistic environment, along with dining options and craft drinks. The Disney Springs location follows the original venues in Natic, Massachusetts and Providence, Rhode Island.
“We define categories and set standards for interactive entertainment at home,” Level 99 CEO and founder Matthew Duplesey said in a news release.
“Our vision is to make the “challenge room” the mainstream concept, and the opportunity to open in marquee locations like Disney Springs is the next step in our plans to expand the Level 99 brand nationwide. ” he said.

Duplessie launched the world’s first escape room style concept in 2004, the news release said. In 2021 he opened the first Level 99 location in the hopes of expanding its appeal and increasing reproducibility. Participants usually spend 2-3 hours of entertainment play, where food and drinks continue.
In the Challenge Room, teams of 2-6 players work to win a themed physical or mental challenge that usually lasts from one to four minutes. The one-on-one showdown also includes arena duels and an art hunt featuring symbols hidden among hundreds of local art.
Disney Springs Level 99 covers 45,000 square feet in two levels. It handles approximately 1,000 players at a time.
Neither the opening time frame nor the price was announced. The original Massachusetts venue offers 2-hour, 4-hour, and all-day tickets ranging from $2,999 to $55.99 depending on the date. The Level 99 location is scheduled to open this year in West Hartford, Connecticut and Tysons Corner, Virginia.

In Disney Springs, Level 99 is located between Splitville and CityWorks restaurants, across the Blues House of Blues Plaza in the Cirque Du Soleil End of the complex.
The NBA Experience opened in August 2019 and features basketball-related activities and product sales. In 2020, it was closed in most parts of Walt Disney World in response to the COVID pandemic. In August 2021, Disney announced that its NBA experience would not resume. This site is not a building, but was previously a Disney Quest location. This was an interactive attraction that closed in 2017.
