Central Florida has another roller coaster. LEGOLAND Florida will add an indoor thrill ride to its 2026 Winter Haven Theme Park.

The LEGOLAND news release may be suggested by the phrase “really out of this world,” but neither the name or theme of the new charm was announced.

“As we prepare to unveil this exciting new attraction, designed, co-created and imagined, the incomparable talent of the LEGO Group’s incredible creative team and the Merlin Magic Maker, we hope that mystery and expectations will add to the great thrills going forward.”

The coaster will run from a location in LEGO City, where Flying School, an inverted coaster, stood until it closed in 2023.

The ride will also be built at Legoland California Theme Park in Carlsbad, California. Both parks are owned by UK-based Merlin. He said he is investing $90 million in Legoland Park’s biggest singular internal investment, the project.

“The details remain under the rap, but one thing is clear. This new ride will take guests on an unprecedented adventure and set a new standard for fun and imagination,” said French President Gonzalez of Legoland Florida Resort in the release.

Pursuing demographics between the ages of 2 and 12, LEGO Land Florida currently operates three coasters, the coaster Auros and Dragon, which debuted in 2004, and three coasters, the Great Lego Race, which opened in 2011.

Nearby Peppa Pig Theme Park featured Papa Pig’s roller coaster in 2022.

Over the past five years, a small number of coasters have opened in Orlando. Walt Disney World has added Guardians of the Galaxy. We added the space rewind at Epcot in 2022 and the Tronlight Cycle/Run at Magic Kingdom in 2023.

SeaWorld Orlando opened icebreakers, pipelines and penguin treks in 2022, 2023 and 2024 respectively.

Universal’s Adventure Islands climbed the Jurassic World Velossico Star in 2021. Additionally, Universal Studios transformed the old woodpecker nut house coaster into a troller coaster in 2023.

But wait, it looks like it’s going to be even more. The Epic Universe, which will open on May 22nd at Universal Orlando, will have four more roller coasters set up. Its lineup includes Stardust Racer, a duel coaster. Curse of the werewolf, a rotating coaster. Hiccup Wing Glider and Dragon-themed vehicle. And the mine madness that is part of the world of Super Nintendo.

Rescue gators will come in

The first rescue teams of the spring have arrived at Gatorland. Visitors may spy on Liluyatti, a crocodile found at Mount Dra Country Club.

He brought an 8-foot-long, 125-pound animal to Gatorland, where he brought in the animals that he lives every day. Lil’Yachty is estimated to be between 15 and 20 years old. He has minor wounds and the cause of the injury is unknown, but his tail is healed.

“It looks like he has a pretty good brawl,” said Mark Mchugh, president and CEO of Gatorland, in a news release. “This beautiful crocodile is part of a massive success story with Gatorland Global, saving annoying crocodiles towards euthanasia.”

Gatorland Global is the conservation division of attractions that opened in 1949. Gatorland has acquired over 100 rescued Gators. McHugh said more rescue gators will arrive in breeding season as they are more active and are looking for companions and food. Feeding wild crocodiles is illegal in Florida, and animals are mixed together to mix them with humans.

More art in Disney Springs

New segment of Disney Springs Art Walk: Canvas of Representation is now complete. Painted by Chicago artist/muralist Liz Flores, “Fortaleza” shows the four of them come together to support each other and have strength and resilience, Disney says.

“Her work is a representation of the human condition through lines, shapes and abstract figures,” says Flores’ website. “It’s a response to life, feelings, or memories, driven by her interest in community, femininity, and Latinos.”

The Art Walk runs southeast of the shopping complex, along the back of the town centre. It runs between the Disney bus stop and the Lime Garage.

Baby Shark Gets Sea World Gig

Baby Shark (Doo-Doo-Doo) and SeaWorld Parks collaborate on multiple fronts, including a new music video in Orlando and a live theme park dialogue.

Pink Phong, behind Baby Shark, a South Korean-based education and entertainment company, is celebrating the character’s 10th anniversary.

The two-minute video will debut on YouTube on April 30th. This includes meetings with baby sharks that the SeaWorld Rescue team cared for. The baby shark and Pink Phon, later names of the pink fox character, are riding on the Sea World attraction.

The duo will visit Sea World Orlando from June 30th, following a stint at Sea World San Diego and before a fall visit at Sea World San Antonio. The stops include themed activities, food and products.
