LEXINGTON, Ky. — A Kentucky woman was in a sticky mess when she spotted a stack of boxes of lollipops in her front door. A surprise delivery was ordered by her young son while he was playing with her phone.

Holly Lafavers says he tried to stop the Amazon orders of 8-year-old Liam for about 70,000 dam dam suckers before the snack arrived, but it was too late.

Amazon had already delivered 22 cases to her home.

“He said he wanted to have a carnival and he had ordered a dam dam as a prize for his carnival,” Raffers said. “I’ll repeat, he was friendly and kind to his friends.”

After a quick check of her bank account, the surprise got worse. She was owed about $4,000 for the order.

“I just fainted when I saw what those numbers were,” LaFarbers said.

She then discovered that eight more cases had not been recorded from the order, she said. After a trip to the post office, the cases were returned to the sender, she said.

Her efforts to get the refund took a little longer, but she got the money back.

“After a long day of working with the bank and talking to several news stations Amazon has called, they’re refunding my money,” she said in a social media post.

Lafavers said they have changed some settings on their phone to make sure there are no surprise delivery at home.
