In many of these alleged cases, “one or more of the Alexander brothers drugged the victims prior to the rape,” prosecutors filed last week, before New York Judge Valerie Caproni, who presided over the hearing. wrote in a letter to the judge. If it’s Wednesday.

Prosecutors argued Wednesday against the brothers’ release on bail, saying the Alexanders had significant foreign connections and that the brothers had “a motive to break through the roof and flee.”

After hearing arguments for three hours, Judge Caproni denied bail, finding the Alexanders posed a flight risk and a danger to the community. She said the evidence was strong, adding that the men posed a danger to unsuspecting women.

Each of the brothers has been separately accused of forcible rape by at least 10 women from 2002 or 2003 to 2021, the letter continues.

On December 11, authorities executed a search warrant at Tal Alexander’s apartment in a skyscraper on Manhattan’s Billionaires Row. During the search, multiple hard drives were discovered and seized, including a large amount of sexually explicit videos and photos, according to the letter and prosecutors’ statements at Wednesday’s hearing. The brothers and another man “physically manipulated the woman’s body in order to perform sexual acts while the woman did not actively participate in the sexual act or had her back turned.”

Prosecutors said the new evidence revealed the “depraved nature” of the brothers’ actions and the “incalculable danger” they posed.

The video also depicts non-consensual sexual acts. ”

During Wednesday’s hearing, Judge Caproni said the women in the video were clearly helpless, adding: “In my view, this is rape.”
