Venice, Fla. (WFLA) – Searches for 18-year-old Giovanni Peretier continue, and his family is desperate for answers that can bring him home.
Friday is seven days since Peretier disappeared. His family is boots on the ground, looking for something that might lead to where he is.
The group “We Are The Essentials” also supports searching and flyers.
Peretier’s family is searching for missing teenagers 24 hours a day.
“Not many people are watching here. We knew that law enforcement could be pulling some resources right away,” Jeremy Brown said.
A suspected archer at Fort Stewart sent his family in the Holy Text of Florida a few minutes ago: “I love y’all.”
Jeremy Brown is his stepfather, but he has always been his father figure to a teenager.
Brown was one of those who saw Peretier for his cousin’s trip.
“He was wearing his backpack in the house sitting by the door, like a child waiting to go to kindergarten. He was just happy to be able to laugh and rekindle something from the father’s side of the family,” he said.
Peretier visited with his family in Inglewood near River Road and headed to Brevard County with his cousin.
Meanwhile, his mother received a text from him asking for help.
His backpack and cell phone were found in Manatee County.
The text message was the last time Perletier’s family heard from him, but since then they said they have been living a nightmare.
“I’ve had the past seven days. There’s nothing else in my life. It was the most frightening time I’ve ever had in my life,” Brown said.
Families beg the community for all sorts of information.
“If you were on River Road, 75 north after 1:30, then you’d look for some footage, cams that may be in your car, or ring cameras, if you have any points, look for a white Chevrolet Malibu with four passengers in your car,” Brown said.

Another way families are seeking help from their community is to help anyone with a kayak, paddle board or boat search for the water. We are a must to contact you. Please click here.
The family is offering $25,000 in rewards to anyone who finds Peltier or sends them to tips that lead to the arrest of those involved.
Anyone with a hint is asked to contact your local law enforcement agency.
