Previous Report: Governor Desantis talks about immigration in Tampa
TALHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) – Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency ran a massive construction site operation in Tallahassee on Thursday.
Ice Tampa led operations that included support from the FBI, DEA, ATF, FDLE, the US ex-s and IRS criminal investigations.
Officials did not name the construction site or employers, but said the arrested migrants came from Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Colombia and Honduras.
ICE said one migrant was detained for resisting arrest and charged with four counts of assault on police officers, while another migrant attempted to pull a weapon.
This is not the first major arrest that has happened in Florida since President Trump took office in January, but DeSantis signed as a partner in the deportation scheme.
In the beginning of May, more than 1,000 immigrants were arrested for “tide vibrations.” All Florida County has concluded agreements with the federal government to represent officers for immigration enforcement, allowing these large-scale operations to be carried out.
