FORT PIERCE, Fla. (WFLA) – A man who went missing while soaking in a Florida lake died after lawmakers pulled him out of the water.
Just after 5pm on Tuesday, St. Lucie County Councilman responded to the 6600 block of Fort Pierce Boulevard for the report of the 82-year-old man who had last seen him swimming in a local lake.

The victim, identified as Chalon Graham of Fort Pierce, was found in a pond near the coast, about 15 yards.
Deputy Austin Pallett removed the gear and pulled Graham out of the water.
Graham was taken to a nearby hospital, but later died.
The sheriff’s office said the method for Graham’s death had not been decided at the time of the report.
