Netflix’s new Docuseries details the life and death of 22-year-old Vlogger Gabby Petito.gabrielle “Gabby” Petito.

Almost four years later, the 2021 incident with Florida resident Gabby Petit has returned to the spotlight.

The new Netflix Docuseries premiered on Monday, February 17th, with new details and stories from people close to Vlogger.

Docusary details how Petit disappeared during a cross-country road trip with his fiancé Brian Landry, and was later found dead in Wyoming Park. Following the Manhunt for Laundry to Find the Truth, he died of suicide in October 2021 at Myacca Hatchee Creek Environmental Park in Florida.

Gabrielle “Gabby” Petito is a 22-year-old blogger who made headlines in 2021 for suspicious loss and death.

Petit, a native of New York, moved to Florida in 2019, approaching then-boyfriend Brian Landry and his parents. They had been on dates for nine months before moving in the following year in July and getting engaged.

Netflix detailed the couple’s decision to postpone their wedding and instead buy a 2012 Toyota Transit Connect Van and travel the country in 2021. They are called “idiots.”

On August 12, 2021, he called 911 and reported a domestic disability after seeing a man in a white van pounding a woman. However, when police investigated, they determined that Petit was the invader. Petit will be seen last alive on August 27th.

Her parents warned authorities on September 11 after Landry returned to Florid without Petty and did not speak to her family.

Petito’s body was found at the Wyoming campground on September 19th. Her cause of death was determined to be strangulation.

Netflix’s new docusary, “American Murder: Gabby Petito,” details the disappearance and death of Vlogger Gabby Petito in 2021.

“The series, depicted with real text messages, video footage and excerpts from Petit’s personal magazine, captures the reality of a young woman caught up in an abusive relationship behind closed doors. Social Media,” Netflix is writing.

How many episodes is “American Murder: Gabby Petty”?

The show has a total of three episodes, each focusing on different aspects of the case.

Is Gabby Petito’s family involved in the Netflix Show?

Viewers in the “True Crime” genre may be wary of new Netflix shows as they frequently explain that the victim’s families are being excluded from the project. But that’s not the case here – some of Petit’s family and friends are part of the show.

The show begins with Petit’s mother and father, Nicole Schmidt and Joe Petit, detailing her early days and who she was. They continue to record their thoughts and actions throughout the case.

Prior to the release of the show, Schmidt spoke to News Nation about Gabby and why the family decided to become part of the docusary.

“When you watch a documentary, this is a real person, this is a real family, it is a real story, it is a real life,” Schmidt told News Nation. “It’s not just true crime. This can happen to everyone. We didn’t think this would happen to our families. So we’re trying to help people, so this is what they are saying. You can prevent it from happening.”

Regarding Laundry, one of the show’s directors said he refused to participate in “Today.”

“American Murder: Gabby Petty” is available only on Netflix. Subscription pricing for streaming platforms includes:

Petit, Laundry family lives in Florida. Here’s what you need to know

Brian’s parents, Christopher and Roberta Landry, live in Northport, while Gabby’s father, Joe, lives in Vero Beach. Petit is involved in Treasure Coast charities, particularly those focusing on domestic violence.

Joseph and Schmidt sued Landrys in 2022, similar to Sarasota County attorney Steve Bertolino, claiming they know the details of Petitto’s murder. They also claimed that he helped his son hide information from law enforcement.

They were to settle down before the case went to trial.

“All parties have agreed to avoid further legal costs and long-term personal disputes,” Joseph Petit and Nicole Schmidt said in a statement released by lawyers.
