EDMONTON — The Florida Panthers will make one change to their Stanley Cup Final Game 1 lineup against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday at Rogers Place.
Dealing with the injury, AJ Greer is replaced by Jesper Boqvist in the fourth line of Florida.
After sitting in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals with the Carolina Hurricanes with a private injury, Greer returned to action in the series clinching game 5, but was limited to a 4:22 ice time, including a 22-second shift in the third season.
In addition to scoring two goals, Greer ranks sixth for the Panthers, with 45 hits in the playoffs.
Ready to intervene, Bokvist was very effective when his number was called.
Appearing in the Panthers’ 11 playoff games, Speedy Weden tallied five points (two goals, three assists) and paid 37 hits to block four shots.
Upon his return, Bokvist will unfold alongside Thomas Nozk and Jonah Gadjovic.
“Fortunately, it’s not his first time in the playoffs,” coach Paul Maurice said of Bokvist, who last played in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. “He wasn’t sitting for a long time, and when he came in he had pretty good success.
