JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) – Four men have been arrested in the murder of a 7-year-old boy who was shot and killed in Jacksonville in January.
On Jan. 24, Broen Allen, 7, and 21-year-old Lafayette Mango Jr. had left their home on the west side of Jacksonville as several people approached in dark vehicles and began filming, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

Both were rushed to the hospital, where Broen died of injuries. Lafayette was seriously injured.

The JSO said Lafayette is a known gang buddy and lawmakers believe the shootings are gang-related.
Keith Fields, 18, Dannel Larkins, 20, Keith Johnson, 21, Zahrod Sykes, 24, have been arrested and faces the following charges:
A second-degree murder plot to commit murder attempted first-degree murder
Fields, Larkins and Sykes are all documented gang members, while Johnson is a documented gang associate, JSO said.
“This is the first arrest to be arrested in bringing the justice they deserve to Broen’s family. There are other individuals who have planned and participated in this heinous act,” the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
