Daytona Beach, Fla. (WFLA) – A former high school nurse was arrested for a trip to meet Miner in 2024, and after being arrested for a crime against a student by an authority figure, the Ormond Beach Police Department said It has been announced.
Joshua Leggett, a former Smyrna Beach High School nurse, was arrested in December 2024 and accused of traveling to Ormond Beach to meet a boy student when he left his job.
Police say the student’s parents saw her get in his car and contacted the police they spotted with in the car.

News Myrna Beach Police Department and OBPD have launched further investigation into Leggett’s relationship with students.
Leggett was arrested at Daytona Beach House on February 12th under a warrant obtained by the NSBPD.
Police said Leggett was accused of crimes against a student by an authoritative person and accused of indecent, indecent and inflamed certain minors by an authoritative person.
Leggett was taken to Volsia County Branch Jail and has $100,000 in bonds.
