Ocala, Fla. (WFLA) – A former Florida aide has been accused of stealing a bank over the weekend.
The Ocala Police Department said officers were called to rob at TD Bank on Southeast 17th Avenue around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police said the suspect, identified as Christina Gates Taguard, handed the note to the bank teller, saying, “This is a robbery and she is armed with a gun.”
Investigators said Taguard fled the bank for more than $5,000 before officers arrived.

Within 11 minutes, officers said they had found Taguard driving westward on Southwest College Road near the University of Central Florida.
Stolen money, medical gloves and other evidence linked to the robbery were found in Taguard’s car, according to Ocala police.
Taguard was charged with robbery with a firearm and was taken to the Marion County Jail.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office told Wesh that Thagard had previously worked for them as deputies.
