Lake County, Fla. (WFLA) — The main roads in Lake County, Florida could be renamed to Lake County, Florida after Lake County Commissioner Anthony Sabatini announced Wednesday.

Kirk was shot dead on the Utah Valley University campus, where he spoke on Wednesday.

“After today’s tragic event, I will add items to the agenda for the next Lake County Commission meeting on September 23rd, placing a major path in Lake County, named after Charlie Kirk.”

The commissioner did not say which roads would be renamed. However, the post included images of a circumnavigation of a road that appears to be part of the US 27.

“It’s in my district and the suburbs outside the Orlando/Theme Park area are called Four Corner,” Sabatini said.

The commissioner said he hopes other communities will follow.
