Talahasie -Florida’s election supervisor wants to change the state law that demands that all voters will renew the demands of all voters voting in the two special assembly election last month.

In the preliminary election of the parliamentary district 1, the supervisor told Tuesday that the request for voting for each poll decreased by nearly 90 % compared to the same race last year to replace the former member of the Diet Matt Gaets. Ta.

Director Alan Hayes said that the request was about 75 % in Lake County to replace the former member of the Diet Mike Waltz in the parliamentary district six competitions.

This getting off was the result of the 2021 law passed by Republican members, demanding that all county -elected supervisors delete voting requests every two years.

When requesting voters for voters, voters had to provide the driver’s license number, state ID number, or the last four digits of social security number.

Previously, voters were able to continue to receive posts voting through two or every four years through two general election cycles.

The check box no longer exists, and all poll voting voting requests have been deleted after the November election in accordance with the new law.

Officials said that the deletion caused confusion among voters, including the military members who had to submit new demands to vote by mail.

David Lamba, a lobbyist of Florida, a representative of 67 election officials in the state, was mailed by authorities to vote in 2024 but not in January. He said he had submitted a complaint.

The association asks members to allow the checkbox to return to the envelope for each poll, but use the necessary personal identification information under new laws.

Pinus County Election Director Julie Marcus stated that adding changes was an “absolute priority.” The county currently has 13,800 voting requests. It has decreased by 95 % from the number of votes mailed to residents in the November election.

“The box was very good for us,” she said.

The supervisor is also calling for a change in voting methods to fight with the Suspicion of Floridans and the sudden increase in threats, whose state election is vulnerable to fraud.

The supervisor wants non -citizens to update the driver’s license within 30 days.

“The non -citizens seemed to have been voting,” said Travis Heart, a supervisor of the Lafayette County Election. State highway safety and automotive department.

The supervisor also wants to exempt employee personal information from public records for the amount and type of last year’s threats.

“When people are election workers and our employees, when they left the office, they say,” We are looking at you, and we know where you live. ” Ta, “Lake County’s director Hayes said. “If it’s not intimidation, I don’t know.”

Tuesday’s supervisor opposed the proposal by Governor Ron Desantis, who dramatically changes the process of modifying the state constitution. For example, instead of signing a petition in a parking lot, voters need to demand it through the supervisor’s office.

Hayz stated that it would be a “huge job” for the supervisor. According to Hayes, it is better to directly mail the application organizer to voter, as a smart and secure Florida has begun a quest to fix the constitution to fix the constitution.

“The county taxpayers do not need to subsidize the services they need to apply for a citizen initiative,” Lamba said.
