That’s a reality for a Florida woman who won the highest awards for playing a word-themed scratch-off game.
Polk County women win $5 million from scratch-off games purchased at gas stations
Nubia Fagot, 62, of Hialeah, purchased a $5,000,000 crossword cashoff from Beacon Service Station, 8399 NW 12th Street, Doral.
The ticket gave her a $5 million victory. She chose to receive it as a one-off, one-off payment of $3,262,138. The retailer received a $10,000 bonus committee for sale.
The $20 scratch-off has four top prizes of $5 million and plenty of opportunities to win a cash award of nearly $240 million. The overall probability of victory is 1-in-2.9.
Since its establishment, Florida Lottery Scratch-off Game has awarded more than $65.5 billion in awards and has generated nearly $20 billion in the state’s Education Extension Trust Fund.
