TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – A Charlotte County woman is a multi-millionaire after purchasing a winning scratch ticket on Publix.
The Florida Lottery has announced that Port Charlotte’s Jerry Collins has won a $5 million award from the perfect gift scratch game at the Lottery’s Fort Myers district office. She chose to receive the prize as a one-off, one-time payment of $2,989,062.

She purchased a victory ticket at Publix, 24051 Peachland Boulevard, Port Charlotte. The store received a $10,000 bonus fee to sell tickets.
The $20 scratch-off game offers cash awards totaling over $178 million, including four top awards of $5 million. The Florida Lottery website shows that two top awards remain.
The overall odds for the game’s victory are 1 to 2.79.
