Florida Tube Options allow riders to enjoy life slowly – Orlando Sentinel

In Florida, the art of lazy is strong, especially when you can get an inner tube.

The state has some great choices for several hours of tube running, mainly associated with natural springs, as flows to the river.

One of the best is the Rainbow River in Dannellon, Marion County, in central Florida.

Rainbow Springs State Park (https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/rainbow-springs-state-park) offers its own two-hour running option, but the county has its own park where you can double your time on the water.

The four-hour run puts people in KP Hall Park (https://parks.marionfl.org/i-want-to/visit-kp-hole-park) where they rent tubes and come back. The cost is $30 per person, but the group rate lowers that to $25. A similar setup is located in Rainbow Springs State Park, with $5 admission per car ($4 for singles). And a $24 plus a tax shuttle fee, whether you bring your own tube or not.

The tubers can sit along the alded cypress stands and along the occasional waterfront home, robbing the day of robbing the silence of loneliness that captures herons, coats of arms and aninga.

The water is supplied by a 72 degree spring, so if your lungs are increasing it, relax in the sun and infuse your water advance. Turtles, fish, and their own diving adventures can be seen spotted during gentle, mile-flowing grass.

However, you can see through clear water, especially when moving from trees lined up in either bank to shaded pockets, simply hang one hand and stick the posterior on it.

And you won’t be embarrassed just to treat your entire trip back to the natural version of La-Z-Boy. If your eyes are closed for a minute or two, don’t worry. There is no judgment.

In both parks, plan to get there when the parking lot is full on weekends and holidays.

In the case of KP Hall Park, personal tubes are not permitted unless you want to bring something designed to carry a cooler. However, all food and drinks must be in containers that cannot be shortened. Notably, alcohol is not permitted in the river. Park staff have flashy sniffing devices if you’re going to sneak in.

Tube season is from April 1st to September. Rentals open from 8am to 12:30pm at the park at 30, and shuttles can return to the car park until 5pm

Those with their own vessels like paddleboards, canoes and kayaks can enter for just a $7-dollar park admission fee per person. Divers can go for $20.

They can run the river in 3 feet deep water for about 20 minutes to Indian Creek. However, you can also go down the four-hour drive and pay for the shuttle service.
