HOLY HIL, Fla. (WFLA) – A sixth grade teacher has been arrested for having child sexual abuse materials made using artificial intelligence, the Holly Hill Police Department has announced.
David McKeown, 47, was arrested on June 20th for possessing child pornography and sexual activity, including animals.
ICAC detectives in the Criminal Investigation Division of the Holly Hill Police Station received tips from National Missing and Exploited Children on June 2, 2025 on reports of people sharing files depicting child sexual abuse.
The search warrant was executed at Mackie Oun’s home and at United’s brothers at the Academy of Christ, where he is a sixth grade teacher.
According to HHPD, McKeown downloaded and communicated with other Discord users during school hours while connected to the school’s Wi-Fi network.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement offered the use of the electronic storage device K9 Ruby during a search for McKeown’s Home, where they found several devices.
“This arrest is extremely intrusive,” said Fdle Commissioner Mark Glass. “This individual trafficking was not only vulgar material and trafficking, but we were doing it on the school grounds during school hours surrounded by children. In FDLE, predators never hide behind screens or school walls.
According to the HHPD, multiple electronic devices and additional evidence were taken during the search warrant for the forensic review.
Detectives also obtained a search warrant for McKeown’s social media accounts and recovered 19 images of animal-involved sexual abuse material and six images of sexual activity with the support of the Fdle Cyber Crimes Task Force and the state Attorney General’s Office, officials said.
“When reviewing McKeown’s social media accounts, detectives have come across several messages that appear to communicate with other users, spread student personal information, send photos, and use artificial intelligence (AI) to generate child porn,” the Holly Hill Police Department said in a news release.
McKeown is being held at Volusia County Branch Prison without bonds.
