Rep. Cory Mills, a Florida Republican representing HR 2337, introduced the state legislature’s 7th legislature, has banned prohibitive rights to enter the National Territory (parent) Act. According to Mills’ official statement, the law would make it exclusive to at least one parent who is a citizen or a legal permanent resident, exclusively born to those born in the United States. The bill is co-existed by Rep. Andy Harris (MD-01).
Mills said the law is built on President Trump’s executive order to end loopholes that allow illegal immigrants and criminal terrorist cartels to exploit birthright citizenship and establish themselves in the United States.
“For decades, criminal immigration has exploited loopholes in our immigration system, undermining our country’s sovereignty, straining taxpayer resources, and neglecting the rule of law,” Mills said. “By amending the Immigration and Nationality Act, the Parent Law seeks to end abuse and reaffirm the principles of the American citizenship and the Constitutional Republic. Based on President Trump’s efforts to protect American sovereignty, this bill ensures that the birthright reserves for those with legal rights to be here.
