TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Florida Sen. Ashley Moody sponsors a bipartisan bill aimed at helping first responders, law enforcement and teachers buy homes.
On Thursday, Florida sheriffs and deputies stood by her side as they shared details of the bill in the Hillsboro County Sheriff’s Office Prison Meeting Room in Tampa.

Senator Moody says she is working hard to fulfill her political promises.
“It’s very important to support blue, green men and women,” Moody said.
She introduced her first law two months after her term in Washington, DC
“My first bill is the Helper Act, which will help these men and women who are volunteering for these jobs buy homes in the communities they love,” Moody said.
All Local Parents, Educators, and Responders (Helper) Act Homes of 2025 will enable teachers, firefighters, law enforcement and medical first responders to participate in the new loan program.
Provide eligible recipients with one-time mortgage premiums without first needing a down payment.
