TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida was first ranked in the best state of singles, Wallethub announced.
Wallethub compared 50 states with 29 different indicators of dating friendliness, with Florida earning a score of 68.21 in second place at 67.86.
“Nearly half of American adults are single and dating can be particularly difficult given the recent spike in activity and meal costs. Host dates,” Wolletzbu analyst said.

According to Wallethub, Florida is the best state for singles because of a variety of attractions.
The five best states for singles are Florida, New York, California, Texas and Illinois.
The worst singles states are Kentucky, Wyoming, North Dakota, Arkansas and West Virginia.
Wallethub said people in Florida are looking for love. Floridians searches Google for names of top dating websites more than residents of other states.
