MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) – Two people allegedly attacked and behavioured outside a Miami club were arrested Monday.

Officers from the Miami Police Station were wearing uniforms and were patrolling an area near NW 24th Street before 3am, and when they were flagged by bystanders, NBC affiliate WTVJ reported.

According to an arrest report obtained by WTVJ, bystanders told officers the man was “smacking a woman with a belt in the car park.”

Suspicious abuser, 26-year-old Patrick Maka, began walking from behind the car park towards the officers, carrying a belt wrapped around his neck. According to the report, 26-year-old Lauren Budrek followed behind Maka and told officers, “It’s all fine.”

Maka reportedly refused to sit on the curb and tried to escape. When officers attempted to put Maka’s hand on his back, Budrek intervened, disrupting his ability to restrain Maka. The man resisted and fell over the suspect and became a police officer who cut his arm. He is said to have tried to take Taser in the process.

During the struggle, Budrek “attacked in his head ‘in’ and kicked him’ before punching him with his left eye,” WTVJ reported.
