Florida Panthers cut their training camp roster to 55 players

Sunrise, Fla. — President Birchit, Florida Panthers Hockey Operations and General Manager, announced today that the Panthers have reduced their training camp roster to 55 players.

Florida’s roster consists of 33 forwards, 16 defensemen and six goaltenders. Click here** to download the full Panthers Training Camp roster.

Riley Hughes, Robert Mastrosimone, Christophe Terrier, Nicholas Zabane, defensemen Mitchell Vande Sampel, Eamon Powell, Dennis Cesana and goaltender Michael Simpson have been assigned to Charlotte Checker (AHL).

Forwards Daniel Walcott and Josh Lopina, defensive men Phip Waugh and Andy Welinski are released from professional tryouts (PTOs) and report to Charlotte (AHL).

Defender Cole Krigie has been released from his PTO.

Forwards Sierbusch and Shamer Moses and defensive man Carson Cameron were returned to their respective junior clubs.

The Florida Panthers will face the Carolina Hurricanes tomorrow at 6pm ET on September 24th at Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.
