Sunrise, Fla. (WFLA) – A Miami-Dade officer has been accused of beating his wife and has attacked her about 40 times on Easter Sunday.
Christian Sanchez, 29, returned home with his wife and daughter after the Easter event. His wife told authorities that Sanchez was “a bit drunk because he was drinking a bottle of rum.”

Sanchez took a shower when he returned home. Meanwhile, the shower rod fell because he lost his balance after getting drunk, the arrest report states. When he left, his wife bathed her daughter.
Sanchez grabbed the collapsed stick and placed it in the living room before returning to the bathroom to make sexual advances towards his wife. When she declined, he demanded that she collect hers and leave.
According to the report, Sanchez grabbed the woman’s ponytail and pulled it backwards, slamming her daughter into the head with her arm. As the child began to cry, Sanchez said, “I’m sorry her mom has such a belly.”
The woman moved to another room and ran away from Sanchez. Lieing on the bed, Sanchez rode her on top of her and punched her 30 times.

Sanchez threatened to attack her if she didn’t give him a cell phone. According to the affidavit, he grabbed her by her ponytail again and attacked her ten more times before dragging her into the living room with his hair.
My wife grabbed the shower rod that Sanchez had in the living room and chucked it to him in self-defense. Because of her blurry vision, she was not sure if she had hit Sanchez, but was able to leave the house and warn her neighbors.
Another individual in the house is called 911. When Sanchez said, “Hang it, hang it, hang it, hang it, hang it, hang it,” they said their bodies were “dead” out of fear.
Sanchez grabbed the witness’s phone, called the operator, and fled to the vehicle.
When staff arrived at the house, the woman had a bloody lower lip and blood was smeared on her teeth, the affidavit said.

Court records show Sanchez was arrested on charges of battery causing bodily harm and robbery without a firearm or weapon. He was given a $50,000 bond.
