COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (NEXSTAR) – A 2023 murder suspect in Miramar, Fla. was captured in Colorado Springs on Tuesday evening, February 4th.
The former US was arrested after 28-year-old De Sean Phang was identified as a suspect, along with the Colorado Violent Criminal Task Force (COVOTF), the Fountain Police Department, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado Springs Police Department. On January 17th, a warrant for arrest for second-degree murder was issued.

The murder reportedly occurred in Miramar in early 2023, when one man died.
Marshall’s Service said the information recently developed showed fans left Florida and were probably hiding in Colorado. That information was passed to Covotf on February 3rd, and it was discovered that Phang will then travel between Colorado Springs and the South Denver metropolitan city, including the ranch area of Englewood and Highlands.
Marshalls Service said fans were traveling in a car rental near COVOTF near C-470 at Highland Ranch and South Klebex Street at Highland Ranch before returning to Colorado Springs. COVOTF Deputy U.S. Former S. and Task Force officers, Colorado Bureau of Investigation and Colorado Department of Corrections deputies have contacted both the Colorado Springs Police Department and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
Marshalls Services said Phang left when CSPD officers approached to arrest him, following the car park at the Big R Store at Fontaine Boulevard in Security Widefield. The fan got out of the car and tried to escape, but was soon caught.

The fan was taken to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center, where he was booked with an unpaid murder warrant from Florida. He is currently waiting for his extradition to Florida.
