MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) – A Miami man is accused of attacking a theatre manager who told him to leave the venue where a young girl was dancing, according to an arrest affidavit.

On Monday, Miami police responded to Manuel Arts Theatre about a man actively assaulting the venue’s manager.

Four Florida lawmakers have been fired after a Sarasota County arrest failed to activate Bodycam

The manager told police that several dance teachers who are conducting rehearsals for girls between the ages of 7 and 12 warned him about the suspicious man in the theater “closely uncomfortable with the children,” the arrest report said.

NBC affiliate WTVJ reported that 26-year-old Manuel Arturo Bardizon Saria made “strange” comments to her parents and the owner of the dance studio.

Baldizon-Sarria was asked by a manager and witness to leave the building. He entered the enclosed patio area and continued to reject requests to get off the property.

“I felt really uncomfortable,” the studio owner told WTVJ. “I told him, ‘I need you to go outside.’

According to the report, Baldizon-Sarria took several combat stances, slamming her manager into the face twice with her open hand, and another time knocking her glasses out of her face.

At that point, the witnesses activated the radio city emergency button in Miami, as the theatre is owned by the city, and dispatched police.

Baldizon-Sarria is left the theater and is tracked down by an officer who later tried to detain him. The suspect reportedly was pulled away from the nerves and resisted his arrest.

A statement from the city of Miami, obtained by WTVJ, stated:

The safety and welfare of children and visitors in our public places is a top priority for the city of Miami. We are aware of this incident and are in touch with the appropriate authorities. Immediate measures are being taken to consider the issue internally and to ensure that appropriate safeguards continue. It is an ongoing investigation and involves stakeholders, so we cannot comment further at this time. However, we remain committed to maintaining a safe environment for everyone who uses our facilities.

Baldizon-Sarria has been detained and transferred to a police station where he faces allegations of assault and battery robbery and resists officers without violence.
