Cape Coral, Fla. (WFLA) — Crusaders helped stop the crime committed Wednesday, according to Cape Coral police.
The Cape Coral Police Department said it was just after 2am that officers received a report of ongoing robbery at a home in the city’s southeastern region.

When officers arrived, they discovered that suspect Justin Simple, 20, had already been detained by his neighbor. Neighbor Kyle Maibett was wearing Batman pyjamas.
Myvett told the officers when he was asleep at night and when his home security cameras warned someone who had broken into his truck later.
Myvett said he soon found Schimpl in his neighbor’s garage. Investigators said Schimpl had robbed another vehicle parked in the house.

The detective said Myvett faced Schimpl and wore a Batman crest on his chest and a fabric utility belt around his waist. He was able to stop the suspicious robbery and detain him until the officers arrived.
Police say Schimpl stole multiple items from Myvett’s truck and the vehicle parked at his neighbor’s house. The items included two pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses worth $300 each, cash, a women’s wristlet, and a gift card worth over $500.
The police department noted that this is not the first time an officer has encountered Schimpl. He has been involved in previous criminal investigations and is known for law enforcement agencies in the area.
Detectives claimed that Simple had an accomplice in the reported robbery on Wednesday, but the person’s name had changed multiple times and they couldn’t find any other suspects.
Schimpl was arrested for two counts of vacant transport, two stolen thefts for less than $750, and two counts of robbery at one occupied residence, authorities said.
“Another suspected robber was placed behind the bar thanks to his Batman Pajamas neighbor,” the police department wrote in a social media post.
