SARKSY COUNTY (Kirk) – SARKSY County deputies have arrested a Florida man whom he believes is involved in the shooting of a woman who died this summer.
According to the Searcy County Sheriff Office, authorities with several agencies in Arkansas traveled to Deland, Florida to arrest Mark R. Brown in the death of 69-year-old Monas Loop.

Deputies said Sloop was found dead at his Searcy County home in July. Officials had confirmed that she had been dead for an unknown period when she was found.
Brown was arrested Wednesday and faces murder charges. A lawmaker in Searcy County said they will work with Florida authorities to arrest them.
Investigators said this was a continuing case and that more arrests in the case could be possible.
