Palm Beach County, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man has been accused of dragging three dogs behind a pickup truck last week.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office told NBC’s affiliate WPTV that witnesses filmed video of Lorenzo Franco Alcoker driving at 15-20 mph, tied behind a silver Chevrolet pickup truck.
Franco-Alcocer reportedly told deputies he tied his dog to the back of the truck so he could use the toilet, but forgot that they were there when he drove for his work phone.
Deputies say they spotted the dog crying in a wooden box and licking his legs. They suffered from cuts and abrasions throughout their bodies.

“One of them is totally missing all his skin, all his foot pads,” said Lauree Simmons, founder of Big Dog Ranch Rescue. “They have the right medicine, love and care they need.”
The dog was taken to Palm Beach County animal care and control and is now in care at Big Dog Ranch rescue.

Franco Alcosar was arrested and charged with aggravated animal cruelty, according to the sheriff’s office.
The dogs were named Pilata, Nano and Chispa.
“We expect justice to be offered to them, and we can put them in a loving home that they deserve,” Simmons said, “We will no longer experience the pain and abuse they suffered.”
