A new report by the Kaplan Group shows that Florida is leading the country when it comes to new business applications.

“This is 44,666 new business applications and the state is leading the country across new business applications. Dean Kaplan, president of Kaplan Group, said:

Companies starting in the state listed factors as the reasons they chose Florida.

Low taxes, population growth, and increased investment in small and medium-sized business development. Other reasons why the rise in Florida’s business applications suggested that state’s business promotion attitudes, including personal income taxes and start-up incentives, are attracting entrepreneurs.

The combination of relatively affordable living costs and access to a large consumer market makes it an ideal location for new businesses.

The Kaplan Group also points out that Florida boasts the fourth largest economy in the United States, further enhancing its appeal to entrepreneurs.

And the new business application boom is not temporary. Companies with long-term views of what the state has proposed, such as economic expansion.

The study shows that companies recognize not only boosting short-term economic activity, but also setting the foundation for job creation and sustaining business investment.

In 2024, the state’s economy grew twice the national average in 2024, indicating that the state is poised to continue its growth trajectory.

What’s next:

“If Florida leads the country with new business applications, the competition will be high. Dean Kaplan, president of Kaplan Group, said:

Florida’s strong business formation trends continue to provide continued economic growth, job creation and expand opportunities for startups and small business. Understanding these trends will help policy makers, investors and business leaders predict the state’s economic trajectory.
