“Not an isolated incident”: There are reports of injuries after the death of the epic space coaster, lawyers say

According to the FOP, Gaines was unintentionally attacked by a player while standing on September 6th in Famu’s match against Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.
Authorities learned that Gaines initially “shaking” the effects, but after experiencing pain and receiving evaluation, he had a broken leg.
Gaines was not working from home on September 19th. FOP said Gaines “fastly worsened” during the call, and despite his life-saving actions, he “tragically passed.”
According to the FOP, Gaines’ death was determined to be related to medical issues he experienced from a leg injury on September 6th.
“Our thoughts and prayers lie in the Gaines family and in the Florida Highway Patrol community,” the organization wrote in a Facebook post.
