A new study reveals the worst medical practices in America based on patient reports.

In an analysis conducted by personal injury lawyers, PCs calculated annual averages for each state over four years (2020-2023) of Medical Malfunction Payment Report (MMPR) from Health Resources and Services Management (HRSA). An agency of the US Department of Health and Human Services.

At the top of the list of the worst medical practices in the country was New Mexico. The state recorded the highest incidence of medical malpractice reports with a 22.54 medical malpractice report per 1,000 practitioners. The rate is astounding as 132% above the national average, highlighting key issues in the state’s health care system.

New York came in second place.

Florida has the third highest percentage of medical malpractice cases compared to registered practitioners, with 18.71 cases of medical malpractice recorded for every 1,000 practitioners (92.68% above the national average) recorded .

North Dakota was the state with the best medical practices in America. Reported the lowest rate of medical malpractice payment reports at 2.65 per 1,000 practitioners

Commenting on the results, Robert Kalichev, personal injury lawyer for PC Victory Law, said: However, it is also important for patients to advocate for themselves if they feel that care is below acceptable standards. ” Reporting cases of medical malpractice to the appropriate authorities is important to help ensure accountability and improve overall patient safety. ”

To ensure a fair comparison between states with different practitioner populations, the average was adjusted to reflect the number of reports per 1,000 practitioners.
