The state’s gas prices fell last week, reaching an average of $2.98 per fuel on Monday, falling from last week’s price of $3.09 per gallon, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
The state’s average fuel price fell by about 13 cents last month. According to the EIA, statewide gas prices last year were $2.93 on January 22, 2024 and $3.54 on May 6, 2024.
A year ago, Florida’s average gas price was 2% higher at $3.03 per gallon.

Last week, the average gas price in the US was $3.15, with state prices being about 5.3% lower than the national average. The average national gas price is slightly higher than last week’s average of $3.13 per gallon.
