According to new data from digital platform group Slotozilla, business owners in Florida hire people to play video games if they are looking for trustworthy employees.
The company conducted situational tests among video game players across the United States to identify surprising discrepancies in interstate employment possibilities in the United States. This study measured proficiency in the most popular gaming genres, such as open world and action, including titles such as Minecraft and Mario Kart. “Florida gamers scored high scores for leadership, communication and time management,” Slotzilla said.

Important findings:
Gamers in Sunshine, Florida, were considered to have the most transferable skills in the entire United States. Floridians appear to be the most employable team leaders and line managers.
85% of Florida-based gamers showed transferable leadership and reliability characteristics.

In fact, the job-room company said gamers have shown strengths in the workplace, including leadership, problem-solving, adaptability and communication. Many of these overlap with abilities developed throughout the game, such as critical thinking, teamwork, and planning.
Florida gamers came to the top during their research and scored consistently across the board for employable skills they picked up during the game. Four of the five scored high in leadership and reliability, while only under 80% showed strength in time management and communication.
