Walton County, Fla. (WMBB) – The Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a dump truck crash on Tuesday evening, June 3rd.

According to a Facebook post from WCSO, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Walton County Fire Service, Argyle Volunteer Fire Department and the City of Dellnier Springs fire department responded to the fire at a facility off-site on Sherwood Road, Dellnier Springs.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered that the dump truck had hit a power line and set it on fire. This happened when the truck was dumping landscaping debris at the facility.

WCSO reported that the driver of the dump truck was killed at the scene.

Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative Inc. and Florida Highway Patrol responded. However, electricity was temporarily released in that area.

The investigation continued Tuesday night and no further information was available immediately.
