Reddick, Fla. (WFLA) – A Marion County deputy shot a man Friday.
According to NBC affiliate WESH, lawmakers responded to Reddick’s residence after receiving reports of suspicious individuals in the area.
At the scene, deputies tried to make a traffic stop on the vehicle they call.
Deputies said the driver refused to stop, leading to a pursuit of ending north of Highway 329 on NW Gainesville Road.
At this point, the agent stated that the driver refused the vehicle’s exit and attempted to run the agent to continue running.
Another deputy lieutenant shot the suspect as he eventually continued to drive at a slow speed until he finally stopped in the 12,600 block of North Highway 441.
The driver is taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition.
