New research reveals different dietary trends in every state.
The most popular diet in America is the keto diet, the number one in Florida.
Gabriel Ettenson, MSPT and chief medical officer at HyperVibe, a fitness and wellness company, analyzed CDC numbers and revealed that 17.1% of American adults always eat special diets and have different patterns across the state. The study discovered the most popular diets in each state by analyzing key search terms.
Top 5 Most Popular Diets in Florida
Keto
Florida’s diet is the keto diet, which is also the most popular diet in the nation. 47 of the 50 states search this diet more than any other diet, with a monthly average of 742,525 searches across the US.
The keto diet replaces most of the carbohydrates with fat and protein, but fat makes up most of your diet. The advantage here is that it reduces many carbohydrates, such as soda and white bread.
Mediterranean
Mediterranean diet is Florida’s second most popular meal and the second choice in other 46 states, a monthly average of 591,016 for this meal.
Many studies have found that based on foods from the Mediterranean, such as whole grains, fruits, nuts and seeds, the benefits of a Mediterranean diet include a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and an increased lifespan.
Old

The third most popular meal in Florida is the Paleolithic (old) meal. Americans search this meal 132,508 times a month.
The Pereo diet, also known as the “caveman” diet, consists of fruits, vegetables, lean meat, fish, eggs, nuts and seeds. Research has shown that paleolithiasis has helped lower blood pressure, help with weight loss and improve insulin sensitivity.
dash
The Dash Diet is Florida’s fourth most popular diet, with an average monthly search volume of 130,831 across the US.
Dash represents a “dietary approach to stop hypertension” as it is about preventing and controlling hypertension. You cannot add alcohol, sodium or foods that are high in saturated fats.
alkali
Florida’s fifth favorite meal is the alkaline diet. Average searches are conducted every month of 85,109 for alkaline diets across the United States.
The concept is to increase the intake of alkaline foods such as fruits, vegetables and nuts, while avoiding acid-forming foods such as meat, dairy and processed foods, reducing acidity and maintaining optimal pH levels.
