(News Nation) – New research shows that the happiest place on the planet is not related to the United States.
As is customary, Scandinavian cities scored very well in the 2025 Happy City Index.
Copenhagen, Denmark, was first ranked ahead of Zurich, Switzerland. Singapore; Denmark, Alfs. Antwerp, Belgium.
The ranking is based on six criteria: citizen, governance, environment, economics, health and mobility. They include databases and interviews with people from each city.
200 cities created a list, scored in six categories, and points were tallied to provide an overall score.
