MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) – A celebrity Miami hairstylist has been arrested after being accused of trying to inviting a child to engage in sexual acts.
According to NBC affiliate WTVJ, 37-year-old Ryan Thomas Pearl met the victim two years ago, a 15-year-old girl who first became his client.
According to arrest reports, the girl’s mother said she discovered an inappropriate conversation between the two on social media as a teenager when she discovered the deposits Pearl made on her daughter’s Apple Wallet account.
After the girl’s mother reported her findings to police on Saturday, Miami police set up a secret investigation in which detectives began exchanging messages with Pearl.
The arrest report details explicit messages, a video and a photo of Pearl naked on the sofa the man allegedly sent to his teenager.
Investigators said Pearl arranged a meeting while discussing plans to engage in sexual acts, believing he was still communicating with the minor girl.
WTVJ reports that Pearl was taken into custody when he showed up at the location to welcome his teens on Wednesday.
Police searched Pearl’s vehicle where they found a buggy suspected of pink cocaine and another buggy containing steam and a condom.

According to the arrest report, Pearl said he had vape for the girl and admitted to asking her to be his girlfriend. He also sent out a naked photo of her and admitted to traveling to meet her.
Miami police arrested Pearl and he was booked at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade. In addition to attempting to induce a child to sexual activity, he is also accused of travelling to meet the child, electronic transmissions harmful to minors, delinquent children, and possession of cocaine.
According to his Instagram account, Pearl styles several high-end celebrity clients, including Hailey Bieber and Sophie Turner.
