TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida broke its own records and welcomed a record amount of travelers in the second quarter of 2025, Gov. Ron Desantis announced.
Florida welcomed 34.4 million visitors in the second quarter of 2025, bringing this to an all-time high for visitors in the second quarter.
“Florida continues to lead the way as the country’s top travel destination,” DeSantis said. “People from all over the world are coming to Florida to take advantage of our top attractions, great weather and public safety commitment. Today’s record numbers are testament to the work we’ve done to make Florida the most attractive state in the country.”
According to Desantis, domestic travelers accounted for 91.5% of total visits, with 31.5 million Americans visiting the state.
Overseas visits have increased by 11.4% to 2.3 million people a year, and visited Florida, where 640,000 Canadians visited.
