“Florida is a popular destination in the world,” Gov. DeSantis said. “This record-breaking tourism is the result of policies that prioritize freedom, public safety and common sense.”

According to a press release, in the first two months of 2025, the province increased Canada’s air visits by 0.5% and overseas visits by 6.5%.

In February, Governor Desantis announced that in 2024 Florida was a leading destination in the world and a record 142.9 million visitors.

The fourth quarter of 2024 had 33.1 million visitors. This is the highest number recorded in the fourth quarter.

The total number of tourism consisted of approximately 29.9 million domestic tourists, 2.5 million international tourists and 742,000 Canadian tourists.
