TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida zip code has taken the top spot as the most expensive zip code in the United States.
For the past decade, real estate database PropertyShark has published a ranking of the most expensive postal codes.
The company revealed earlier this month that 33109 Fisher Island in Miami Beach will be the most expensive ZIP code in the country in 2025, with a median sales price of $9.5 million.

This is the first time a Florida zip code has topped the list. PropertyShark reported that Fisher Island in Miami Beach beat out Atherton, Calif., for the No. 1 spot.

“Following last year’s record-breaking median sale price of $5.75 million, ZIP 33109, located in Miami Beach’s exclusive Fisher Island, has experienced a whopping 65% price increase to reach stunning new heights. Price trends have been very up and down on Fisher Island this year, with the cheapest home selling for $1.41 million and the most expensive home being purchased by prominent Miami attorneys William and Julian for nearly $23.7 million.” Charlowhis,” PropertyShark said.
Another Florida island community also made it into the top 100. 33921 in Boca Grande came in 21st with a median sales price of $3.49 million.
