ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — After an Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy quickly decided to hurry to a burning house earlier this week, what could easily end in the tragedy has turned into a heartwarming tale.
The sheriff’s office said Deputy Romero took action after he noticed that the English bulldog was trapped inside the house.

At the time, thick smoke was pouring through the windows, and flames spread throughout the air.
Without hesitation, Romero jumped over a six-foot fence and rushed to the back of the house, where he kicked the door panel to save the dog trapped there, officials said.
“Because of his courage, the Bulldog has been rescued and is now safe in caring for animal services,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office wrote in X’s post.
