st. LUCY COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – An investigation into the suspicious death is underway after the 6-year-old was found dead in the bedroom Friday morning, the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said.
Lawmakers said they were called to conduct welfare checks at their Bedford Drive home around 10am.
The school’s resource officer told deputies he was worried about the six-year-old because his child had been away from school since May 14th.

The deputy spoke to the child’s mother. There, the agent discovered that the child had passed away.
“She took him inside and pointed him to the bedroom where the aide found the child lying in his bed,” Deputy Director John Boldok told TC Palm. “The child appears to have died for several days.”
Bolduc said the child attended Samuel Gaines Academy in Fort Pierce and was reportedly alive around May 17th.
“This incident is currently being investigated as a suspicious death. The investigation is active and ongoing,” the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said.
Bolduc said the child’s mother was in custody and was being questioned.
