FORT PIERCE, Fla. (WFLA) – A bandit who loves freshness is accused of stealing it from a family dollar store in Florida last week.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an unidentified man who entered a store on 3500 Avenue D in Fort Pierce, carrying plastic trash Thursday afternoon.

For the next 22 minutes, the thieves took modestly two bottles of Febreze Ustoppable Touch Fabric Spray, two bottles of Febreze Downy Fresh Fabric Softener, three cans of A/C car refrigerant, and a Vaultz personal lockbox.

“The suspects seem to strongly like freshness, temperature control and personal security, but they are not interested in legal purchases,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a Facebook post.

The bandits are said to be men between the ages of 30 and 40, and have short hair and slim builds. He was seen wearing a white plaid shirt, a white undershirt, blue jersey shorts and black sandals.

Anyone who recognizes this man or has information will be asked to contact Deputy Commander Martinek at martinekk@stluciesheriff.com. Anonymous tips can be done online for Treasure Coast crime stoppers.
